About The Position

Position supports NSU’s wastewater treatment and water projects in many phases of execution including but not limited to proposal, permitting, drafting, mapping, design record keeping, field measurements and reporting. Will be responsible for performing drafting and design tasks listed below on water resources projects as a member of our engineering team.

Requirements

• Degree in drafting or drafting experience in the workforce.
• Working towards or has obtained Bachelor’s degree (BS) from an accredited four-year engineering/technical college or university with course work related to the design of water resources infrastructure. Civil, environmental, chemical, and/or mechanical engineering background.
• MS Office platform
• AutoCAD
• Experience drafting Construction Drawings

Nice To Haves

• REVIT
• GIS
• Experience in Water/Wastewater industry
• Experience with field measurements and underground utility mark outs
• Experience creating GIS maps

Responsibilities

• Be able to work and communicate comfortably within a team and individually as required
• Demonstrate strong initiative and problem-solving skills
• Generate Construction Drawings under the direction of engineering staff using AutoCAD and Revit
• Complete Permit applications and coordinate project submittals under direction of project managers
• Support Engineering staff with generation of written material including reports, memos, and studies
• Support Engineering staff with design/layout tasks as needed
• Perform field measurements and utility mark outs periodically
• Perform related duties as assigned by management
