Kurita’s corporate philosophy is to study the properties of water, master them and create an environment in which nature and humanity are in harmony Job Title: Designer Location: Brooklyn Park, MN Comp: $36/hour The Designer will s upport the Engineering Team members to create project documentation related to process and equipment design, ensure Kurita America quality standards are maintained throughout the execution phase of projects and will act as a technical resource for internal and external customers on design related items.

Requirements

  • 3 plus years of water treatment or industrial equipment design experience such as skid or plant piping layout
  • Two year Associate Degree, technical field preferred.
  • More than 3 years of Auto CAD and Revit experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews Sales proposals, estimates, quotes, customer plans and specifications to establish project requirements and creates designs and prepares engineering drawings with oversight
  • Work with project team to review customer requirements for equipment size, function and process design to assure proper drawing representation with oversight.
  • Create General Arrangement Drawings that are used to communicate critical design details to the project team and customer
  • Create fabrication/installation/assembly drawings for use by internal production team and external fabricators and contractors
  • Ensure manufactured equipment conforms to project requirements and standard design
  • Assist in the development of new standard product offerings.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned.
