About The Position

The Designer position at ITT involves creating and modifying products for live orders using the Goulds CAD system. The role requires designing and modifying pumps, guarding, baseplates, and auxiliary equipment to meet industry and customer specifications. The position is categorized into three levels, each with increasing responsibilities and project management expectations, focusing on delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Level I: 2-4 year college degree in mechanical engineering preferred, 0-1 year related experience preferred.
• Level II: 2-4 year college degree in mechanical engineering preferred, minimum 3 years related experience with drafting required.
• Level III: 2-4 year college degree in mechanical engineering preferred, minimum of 5 years related experience with drafting required.
• Experience may include co-ops or internships.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in CAD software/Creo.
• Experience in 2D Drafting and 3D Modeling.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Data analysis capability.
• Innovative thinking and results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow live order specifications and convert requirements into final designs.
• Review customer orders in the ePrism application to determine the scope of design work.
• Process changes in the scope of supply when required.
• Create customer 2D/3D models and installation drawings using Creo, Imagination, and Adobe.
• Create and modify parts and part drawings to meet order specifications.
• Create factory reference and assembly drawings.
• Modify and complete assembly bill of materials and routing instructions.
• Interface with internal departments and sales to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet requirements.
• Provide technical support to various departments including applications, engineering, and procurement.
• Maintain schedule in project plan as defined by order classification.
• Manage order maintenance in ERP system and company applications.
