As a Designer, you will be responsible for designing and laying out moderately complex mechanical assemblies using modern CAD software, determining the necessary component and sub-assembly drawings, and ensuring compliance with in-house design and drafting standards.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three total years' experience in the design of related electromechanical components or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Design and layout moderately complex mechanical assemblies using modern CAD software.
  • Determine the component and sub-assembly drawings required to define the design.
  • Knowledge of all in-house design/drafting standards including geometric tolerancing.
  • Produce all required drawings in accordance with all applicable standards.
  • Ability to perform with a variety of engineers to develop new and existing designs.
  • Adjust drawings according to feedback from engineers.
  • Write and incorporate Engineer Change Orders (ECO).
  • Check drawings packages and EVO Instructions.
  • Assist in assigning inventory control numbers (ICNs or Item Data).
  • Participate and contribute during design meetings with engineers and customers.
  • Design and layout basis P.C. boards and flex tapes using available in-house software.
  • Support all departments, including production, if required.
  • Participate in the Continuous Improvement Process.
  • Assist in training/cross training of others.
  • Work with minimal or no supervision with outstanding attention to detail and focus to meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to meet on-time demand.
  • Ability to retain confidential information.
