About The Position

The Designer, Men’s Denim reports to the Senior Designer of Men’s and is responsible for leading all design activities related to Men’s Denim across both Western and Global Modern Lifestyle businesses. This role supports a multi-account, multi-channel assortment with significant revenue impact and plays a critical role in delivering innovative, brand-right product that meets both consumer and retail needs while staying true to Wrangler’s Brand DNA.

Requirements

  • Strong denim and woven category expertise, including wash development, fabric construction, and wet/dry processing.
  • Experience designing within multi-account, multi-channel retail environments.
  • Working knowledge of product costing, margin considerations, and GTM calendars.
  • Highly collaborative partner with the ability to influence across a matrixed organization.
  • Strong decision-making skills balancing creativity, cost, and timing.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and storytelling abilities.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD, flat sketching, and tech pack development.
  • Commitment to continued learning and growth as both a designer and mentor.
  • 5+ years of experience designing denim within a global or national brand, preferably supporting multiple accounts or lifestyle segments.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring associate and/or assistant designers is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Fashion or Apparel Design.

Responsibilities

  • Translate Wrangler’s creative vision into compelling Men’s Denim assortments that align with brand strategy, lifestyle segmentation, and business objectives.
  • Develop innovative, commercially viable denim products that meet consumer needs while supporting key business initiatives across Modern and Western lifestyles.
  • Research emerging trends, denim innovation, and key influencer markets to strengthen brand relevance and maintain competitive positioning.
  • Ensure consistency in color, wash, fit, and design language across assortments while maintaining Wrangler’s heritage and brand equity.
  • Own styles from concept through commercialization, reviewing prototypes, partnering with Merchandising on line architecture, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Technical Design, and Sourcing to align on seasonal strategies, costing, and execution.
  • Own Men’s Denim design deliverables across the GTM calendar, ensuring on-time execution against key milestones and seasonal deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Technical Design to support fit consistency, block optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across Men’s Denim.
  • Review samples, resolve design, fit, and costing issues, and troubleshoot product development challenges to maintain calendar integrity.
  • Lead seasonal presentations to Sales and Merchandising, ensuring clear storytelling and strong market execution.
  • Provide styling and product cues, seasonal guides, and visual direction for all channels.
  • Respond to key account assortment needs beyond initial line offerings, balancing brand vision with pricing architecture and margin targets.
