Designer - Substation (Experienced)
About The Position
Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consultant firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Phoenix, AZ office as a drafter/designer. The successful candidate will perform intermediate to senior level drafter/designer work to provide computer aided drafting and design support for electrical substation engineering projects. Work Includes but is not limited to: Plans views, sections, details, steel structures and foundations, electrical schematics, wiring and connection details. Working from engineering markups, sketches, and/or verbal direction. Create and modify working design documents using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation CADD programs.
Requirements
- College degree in an acceptable curriculum or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design
- Minimum of five years concentrated Electrical Substation on the job experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation CADD programs and Microsoft Office Suite
- Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future
- Successful applicant is subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements
- The successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking
- Occasional travel/driving may be required
