About The Position

This is a unique opportunity for a high-taste, production-savvy designer to shape the visual identity of MasterClass across paid channels at scale. You'll work directly within our Performance Marketing team to concept, produce, and iterate on creative assets that stop the scroll, drive conversions, and reflect the premium standard of the MasterClass brand. This role is built for someone who moves fast without sacrificing craft, a problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and a detail-oriented creative who brings both strategic thinking and pixel-perfect execution to every brief.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of design experience, with significant focus on performance marketing, paid social, or digital advertising
  • Exceptional taste level — you instinctively know what looks premium, what earns attention, and what drives action
  • Deep fluency in design fundamentals: typography, composition, color, hierarchy, and visual storytelling
  • Expert-level command of Figma, including components, variables, and Figma Buzz for automated asset production
  • Experienced working within and evolving design systems at scale
  • Highly autonomous — you don't need hand-holding to deliver excellent work; you define your own path from brief to final asset
  • A creative problem solver who brings fresh thinking to production challenges and creative constraints
  • Comfortable moving at speed in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • A portfolio that demonstrates both craft and commercial instinct — beautiful work that performs

Nice To Haves

  • Motion design skills (After Effects, Figma Motion, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality creative assets across paid social, display, video, and other performance channels (Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and beyond)
  • Operate fluidly within MasterClass's design system, maintaining brand consistency while pushing creative boundaries for performance
  • Own end-to-end production workflows using Figma and Figma Buzz automation to efficiently scale asset production across formats and variants
  • Partner closely with the Performance Marketing team to translate campaign strategy and audience insights into compelling visual concepts
  • Iterate rapidly on creative based on performance data, A/B test results, and team feedback
  • Develop motion design assets and animated creative for paid placements (a strong plus)
  • Identify and implement smarter, faster ways to produce and scale creative output without sacrificing quality
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, and Growth teams to ensure cohesion across channels
