About The Position

Zachry Nuclear Engineering, Inc. (ZNE) is currently seeking a Designer III, Civil/Structural & Mechanical for a direct hire position.
Position Synopsis: Designer III, CSM will be responsible to understand and develop structural diagrams such as pipe and conduit support configurations and details, foundation designs, equipment mounting details, general arrangements, fire stops and seals details, process, and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), piping plan and section diagrams, and isometrics. Designer III, CSM will have the ability to produce complex engineering drawings in a 2-D or 3-D environment. Designer III, CSM will be responsible to check drawings for accuracy including dimensions, spelling, drafting standards and completeness utilizing correct project design criteria.

Participation in field walk downs, as necessary, to obtain measurements, verify as- built documentation, and develop field sketches in support of plant modifications and design installations will occasionally be required. Individual will communicate with project engineers and other disciplines to develop drawings and resolve design discrepancies. The ability to interface with the customer and their construction representatives to integrate designs to satisfy their standards is a must for this position.
