The Designer I position is responsible for creating basic cabinet or closet drawings in addition to countertop quotes. They are responsible for applying design principles, product knowledge, and using customer feedback to customize designs.

Requirements

  • Experience with 2020 or similar design software.
  • Ability to read and scale blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Ability maintain organization while working on multiple projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of experience in kitchen or closet design.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Interior Design or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Receive new bid requests from home builders, remodeling contractors, and homeowners to send to Administrative Assistant for entry into company system(s).
  • Complete basic cabinet designs using 2020 or Studio software.
  • Complete basic countertop quotes using CKF Pro.
  • Schedule appointments and assist customers with design selections and showroom visits.
  • Prepare plans for jobsite measure and revise plans to accurately reflect final measurements to ensure product fit.
  • Complete orders and submit through appropriate ordering system(s).
  • Verify product acknowledgements with Design Team Lead to ensure order accuracy.
