About The Position

The SFERRA hard goods designer is responsible for creating innovative products that reflect the brand's aesthetics and heritage. This role involves conducting historical research, developing designs, and ensuring that the design intent is effectively communicated and executed in the final products. The designer will work closely with the Product Development team and report directly to the Vice President of Creative/Design.

Requirements

• Degree in product design, industrial design, or a related field required.
• 3-5 years of experience in hard goods design for the luxury industry.
• Strong knowledge of product design, manufacturing techniques, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent freehand/digital drawing skills and proficiency in necessary computer design programs.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct historical research to inform product design.
• Conceive, develop, and design hard goods products that align with SFERRA's brand values.
• Present design projects to stakeholders and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Monitor the technical development of projects in collaboration with Product Development.
• Translate main collection ideas from the soft goods design team into hard goods products.
• Uphold design integrity and ensure high-quality execution throughout the design process.
