We are open to hiring for remote work in any location within the US. If you prefer to be out of an office and away from a desk most of the week, this might be the perfect job for you - and we only have one of these openings available currently! You will travel frequently to client sites - typically multiple days per week - local and/or overnight, via car and/or plane, to complete site surveys independently or with others on our Fire Protection and/or Field Services teams. You will also work on design-related tasks to help our team take design and construction projects from a defined concept to completion. WD associates work collaboratively across integrated, cross-disciplinary teams of designers, architects, and engineers. Requirements

Willingness to travel as needed (typically multiple days per week)
Must have a valid Driver's License and able to drive, travel by air, and rent a vehicle without restrictions

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and/or experience
Prior experience in fire protection design, fire sprinkler design, fire alarm design, or fire protection system field installation is preferred
Prior experience in site surveys of fire protection systems is preferred
Experience using Revit is preferred
Prior experience with restaurant, retail, grocery, and/or healthcare design projects is helpful
