About The Position
Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. This role is a Field Engineering which primarily supports X21 Pipe Department. Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, AutoCAD, ShipConstructor and NavisWorks. Gathers information, researches requirements, and prepares change papers to provide direction to craft. Coordinates design criteria with Engineering, Operations, Material Sourcing, and Planning. Will interface with Operations, Ship's Management and NAVY/SSGC customer to resolve issues in a timely manner.
