Requirements

  • Entry‑level position with a strong desire to learn and work in a technical field.
  • Prior experience in construction, utility, or pipeline environments is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) or GIS design tools is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of basic software programs such as Microsoft Office and ArcGIS.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work effectively in a production‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • support utility design projects by learning to read and interpret technical documents related to gas operations and updating utility data systems to reflect provided documentation
  • assisting with GPS surveys, overhead and underground line locating, inspections, testing, and documentation of power distribution, gas distribution, telecom facilities, rights‑of‑way, and related infrastructure
  • complete design‑related tasks such as drafting, basic calculations, easement validation, cost estimating, and permit package development while managing multiple assignments to meet productivity, quality, schedule, and budget expectations
  • work closely with senior technicians, engineers, managers, and project teams, participating in peer reviews and quality control checks, identifying data discrepancies, coordinating construction activities, and ensuring all work complies with company safety policies, design standards, and governing authority regulations

  • This position pays between $21 and $24 hourly and is an non-exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
