We have an exciting opportunity for a Engineering Check Manager located in Poway, CA. This position is responsible for managing the design and drafting functions within the Mechanical Engineering Check Group. Requires planning and management of department activities to meet company and contractual requirements. Manages the drawing check function of major components, major portions of a functional system, or technically advanced prototypes across multiple sites in open and classified environments in multiple CAD platforms (Creo, Solidworks, NX) and PDM/PLM tools (Windchill, Solidworks, SharePoint, Team Center). Establishes operating policies and procedures for the function. Collaborates with other departments affected by design development to establish current and long-term objectives. Typically accomplishes objectives through subordinate management and/or professional staff. May be responsible for decisions that have an extended and significant impact on outcomes across the company.
