As a Design Studio Specialist at West Elm, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of our customers' lives by helping them express their unique style in their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to inspire customers through one-on-one consultations, both in-store and in-home, guiding them in the design of their living spaces. You will be instrumental in closing sales at the cash wrap, ensuring a seamless shopping experience that encourages ongoing customer engagement with our brand. Your expertise in design will allow you to create tailored design plans that reflect the individual needs, styles, and preferences of each client, while also accurately measuring and assessing their living spaces during in-home consultations. In this role, you will maintain a comprehensive knowledge of current sales and promotions to meet and exceed established sales and productivity goals. You will also provide exemplary customer service by assisting with special services such as gift wrapping, gift registries, locating merchandise, and managing special orders. Your superior product knowledge will be essential in showcasing the features and benefits of our entire design studio assortment, ensuring that customers receive the highest level of service and support. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage complex orders across various sales channels, and a proven track record in customer service and retail sales. You will be expected to prioritize tasks effectively and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, all while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and engagement.
