About The Position

The Design Staff position at the Los Angeles County Fair Association involves working within a fast-paced environment to meet the demands of multiple projects simultaneously. The role includes assisting in creating approved attractions, which encompasses set design, decorating photo props, creating entrances to various attractions, and decorating vignettes. Responsibilities also include assisting with events, set-up, working in an assigned attraction during the Fair, and supporting additional projects and day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

• Works within the Programming Department in creating unique exhibits and attractions for guests
• Collaborates with others in creating sets, decorating photo props, and decorating vignettes for all Fairplex Presents events
• Assists the Programming Department with various competitions including but not limited to: Los Angeles International Competitions, Home Arts, Culinary Kitchen, Livestock, Landscaping
• Assists with pre-Fair set-up of attractions and exhibits
• Works within assigned project budgets and tracks expenses
• Provides excellent customer service in attractions and throughout the grounds
• Ensures that the assigned attraction space is neat and clean throughout the day
• Performs other duties as required by the Programming Department
• Completes other duties as assigned
