About The Position

Core Responsibilities: Design & Release Activities Own the end-to-end design, validation, and release of suspension components such as bushings, top mounts, and isolators. Develop and maintain 2D/3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs using tools like CATIA V5 or NX. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, cost targets, and program timing. Validation & Analysis Define and execute DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) for durability, stiffness, NVH, and environmental performance. Perform DFMEA, tolerance stack-ups, and support engineering changes. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with Vehicle Dynamics, Manufacturing, Validation, and Purchasing teams. Interface with suppliers for design feasibility, material selection, PPAP/APQP deliverables. Program Support Support virtual builds, physical prototyping, and production launch activities. Manage change control and maintain customer part release systems. Technical Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. Experience: A minimum of 5 years in suspension systems development (bushings, mounts, isolators). Strong knowledge of suspension geometry, NVH characteristics, and vehicle integration. Skills: Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA V5, NX). Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and automotive development processes (DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, PPAP). Familiarity with manufacturing processes for rubber, elastomers, and metal components. Tools & Standards: Understanding of OEM product development systems (Teamcenter, WERS, etc.). Knowledge of SAE standards and regulatory requirements. Other Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and cross-functional coordination. Problem-solving and analytical mindset. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Adaptability to fast-paced environments.
