Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology. (required)
  • Strong Powertrain technical fundamentals. (required)
  • 7+ years of experience managing complex multi-disciplinary engineering projects, with evidence of success bringing programs to life from concept to production (required)
  • Experience with common project/ program management tools. (required)
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment with colleagues from purchasing, manufacturing, etc. (required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills including accountability, self-motivation, problem solving, analytical thinking, succinct communication and ability to develop & mutually thrive in working relationships. (required)
  • Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with design release of Powertrain components and systems. (preferred)
  • Experience with internal combustion engine controls and calibration (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for system engineering for the Harvester gasoline engine underpinning the Scout Traveler SUV and Terra pickup.
  • Coordinate component designs, builds and testing to meet both Scout and supplier milestones.
  • Identify risks and escalate to leadership where appropriate to raise awareness and drive action.
  • Track and report engine imperatives including system cost, mass, and investment.
  • Effectively coordinate engine hardware, software and calibration for all phases from prototype development to production.
  • Provide technical feedback to concept architects, designers, test engineers and calibration teams.
  • Act as the engine single point contact for various partners and suppliers.
