Haemonetics interns are assigned to a meaningful project within the company to acquire a variety of experiences, try different skills, and learn what a future career might offer while also contributing to our innovation agenda by completing business-critical projects and assignments. The Design Quality Intern will be located onsite 3 days/2 days remote per week in our downtown Boston HQ located at 125 Summer St. The Summer 2026 Internship is a 12-week program that requires a commitment to start on June 1st and stay through August 21st. The Design Quality team supports the new product development process and the sustaining process for all products within Haemonetics, specifically through the accurate and up to date Risk Management files.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Biomedical engineering or Mechanical engineering Degree (2nd, 3rd or 4th year)
  • Fluent in Microsoft Suite

Responsibilities

  • Work with project teams and DQE resources on key deliverables within product development process for the Plasma and Blood Center Products, specifically re-aligning the product Risk Management files within the Agile system
  • Support team members through the day to day execution of tasks to allow for the development, update, and release of risk management documentation inclusive of but not limited to: Hazard Analysis, Risk Management Plan & Report, FMEA’s (Use, Design & Process), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
  • Gain knowledge in the Risk Management process for Medical devices and apply the knowledge to drive consistency across the mulitple records within a product Risk file
  • Assist the team with analytical reporting through the use of Smartsheets for project tracking and status
