As a DA Engineering Intern in the Interventional Cardiology division at Boston Scientific, you will partner with Design Assurance and R&D Engineers and Technicians in the development and verification of Medical Single Use Devices and/or Medical Capital Equipment. You will work with a high-performance cross-functional sustaining team to ensure safety, quality, and compliance of launched products while continuously improving their commercial value through end-of-life. You will use your problem-solving abilities to perform meaningful engineering work, grow your skillset through a combination of training, hands-on experience, and mentorship, collaborate with a cross-functional team, and have opportunities to expand your professional network. You will also help develop test equipment for satisfying product requirements, review product specifications and design documentation, and review design verification and validation documentation.

  • Partner with Design Assurance and R&D Engineers and Technicians in the development and verification of Medical Single Use Devices and/or Medical Capital Equipment.

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials.
  • Must graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2028.
  • Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship.
  • Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th - August 7th OR May 26th - August 14th.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location.
  • Lab experience from classes or research.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Ability and passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions.
