About The Position

M. A. Mortenson Company seeks a full-time Design Phase Manager in Kirkland, WA. The Design Phase Manager provides advanced project leadership during the design phase as it relates to customer experience, financial performance, schedule, estimating, design, and planning to ensure a smooth transition to construction operations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field plus four (4) years of related experience in the construction industry and/or architecture.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the same fields plus six (6) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the construction industry and/or architecture.
  • 24 months of experience in establishing and managing project budget for construction projects of at least $25 million total contract value.
  • 24 months of experience in leading the production of full scope general contractor estimates on ground-up construction projects of at least $100 million total contract value.
  • 24 months of experience in managing design development of progressive design-build projects.
  • 24 months of experience in managing diverse business contracting requirements for construction projects.
  • 24 months of experience in managing project cost history data utilizing EOS Cortex.

  • Provide advanced project leadership during the design phase.
  • Ensure customer experience, financial performance, schedule, estimating, design, and planning are managed effectively.
