Where we Work Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin, and international hubs in Australia, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Türkiye. T his is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays . As a Design Operations Intern, you'll work directly with our Senior Design Operations Manager (currently a team of one) to help improve the systems, tools, and processes that enable our 40+ globally distributed product design and research team (spanning seven time zones) to collaborate effectively and do their best work. You'll contribute to operational excellence while helping foster culture, connection, and community across the team.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to work across time zones and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet changing needs with curiosity and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
Problem-solving mindset with eagerness to learn
Passion for creating inclusive team experiences and fostering connection
Background or experience in product design, operations, business, communications, or related fields
Interest in design operations, user experience, project and program management
Familiarity with collaborative tools like Figma, Jira, Confluence, Miro, Google Suite, or similar platforms
Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

Support design programs, team rituals, and cross-timezone collaboration
Help manage design tools and workflows that empower designers and researchers
Develop documentation, templates, and systems that improve team efficiency
Assist with planning team events and culture initiatives that bring people together
Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers
