About The Position
Gentex Corporation is currently seeking an Industrial Design intern for the Winter 2026. Our internship program allows students the opportunity to obtain valuable, applicable work experience in a fast-paced, and challenging environment. The design Intern will focus on assisting full time designers to create 3D models and physical prototypes.
Requirements
- Working towards BS in Industrial Design
- Experience with Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Solidworks
- sketching
- creating prototypes
- Applicant must be proficient with the Adobe creative suite and familiar with Solidworks
- The applicant should have strong hand and digital sketching skills and be able to clearly communicate design concepts to the team
- The design intern should be familiar with a Model shop and capable to safely use powered and non-powered shop tools to create prototypes
- Applicants should be currently enrolled in an accredited Industrial Design program and submit a resume and portfolio

- Sewing experience is also a benefit to this position.
