Job Summary:
At Forj Medical, we have reimagined how we engage college students. Starting in 2020, we developed the Re-Imagined Student Experience Program (RISE Program) that offers year-round internship experience, in a variety of disciplines to enhance your education and provide hands-on work experience to help launch your career in the medical device field. We are looking for students interested in a Mechanical Engineering career to join our organization and collaborate with our team to bring cutting edge medical devices to life. Requirements

• College student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Class status of Sophomore or Junior preferred.
• Interested in pursuing a career in the medical device industry.
• Available 30-40 hours/week preferred.
• Available for 10–12-week Summer RISE Program Internship
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the mechanical design and evaluation of a wide range of electromechanical medical devices with potential applications in instrumentation, fluid management, motion control, pneumatics, and power transmission
• Collaborate with all Engineering disciplines on Program Teams to support the development of Medical Devices.
• Assist in the design of plastic, metal, and/or machined parts in accordance with applicable international standards
• Work to research, develop, design, and evaluate electromechanical components, assemblies, fixtures, and equipment.
• Assist in the design and testing of Sub-Assemblies and Systems.
• Assist in device builds and documentation.
• Use of CAD and other design tools to support Mechanical Development.
