About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Senior Highway Project/Design Manager to be based in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves managing and leading a team of professionals, overseeing the design of large-complex projects, managing design effort, design schedule, and budgets, and implementing change and risk management processes throughout the project lifecycle. The position requires coordination with client needs and relationship building for future opportunities, mentoring and developing support staff, monitoring contract compliance, and leading project dispute/resolution processes. The manager will also lead the development of future design-build proposals, ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct project status meetings, implement innovative design solutions, manage project resources, and represent the company at industry events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree + ten years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Must possess CA state PE license.

Responsibilities

• Manages and leads a team of professionals, overseeing the design of large-complex projects.

• Manages project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization.
• Develops and maintains project documentation, including design plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Represents the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote AECOM's design-build capabilities.
