About The Position
Nextpoint Design is seeking a Design Lead for our digital product design agency, located in Grand Rapids, MI, with the flexibility for remote work. This full-time role is pivotal in overseeing the day-to-day tasks associated with various digital product design projects. The Design Lead will be responsible for conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders to provide design guidance and direction. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the delivery of high-quality design solutions that not only meet the client's objectives but also align with industry best practices. In this role, you will establish and articulate design and research strategies that support our client's business objectives while honoring the end user and achieving desired outcomes. You will oversee the execution of these strategies, providing creative direction for other designers on the team, and offering mentorship, coaching, and critique to ensure the delivery of high-quality design and research. As a trusted partner to our clients, you will guide them through complexity, set clear expectations, and deliver on commitments on time and within budget. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you will need to gracefully unblock the team when they encounter challenges. Additionally, you will play a significant role in business development by confidently discussing Nextpoint Design's capabilities and participating in client meetings, proposals, and presentations. As a design leader, you will mentor others within the practice, establish quality standards, and foster trust through active listening and championing others' ideas.
