About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Design Intern to be based in Roanoke, VA. Requirements

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Design and must have completed at least two years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with a Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Working experience in REVIT, and Rhino.
  • Preferred a minimum of three years of study
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates creativity, passion, and interest in architecture, planning, and design.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task work on multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Enscape and other related graphic software.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Follows instructions to accomplish task assigned by senior staff.
  • Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
