About The Position

We are looking for a Design, RTW (Wovens) Intern to join the KHAITE team for this Summer Semester. This role will be based out of the NYC HQ offices and will support a variety of creative and administrative duties and tasks to provide day-to-day support to our RTW Design team. This internship is unpaid and for college credit only.

Requirements

• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail & the ability to manage multiple projects
• Strong communication (written & verbal) & collaboration skills
• Currently enrolled for a Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Technical Design, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of garment construction and design; with a particular interest in woven materials
• Proficiency in PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in RLM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide design-related support for samples, sketches, research and tech-packs
• Assemble & maintain sketch boards, research packets, and organize samples
• Coordinate with the Design team on daily needs
• Work with Design team to prepare for meetings, including pulling and organizing fabrics, prints, and samples
• Research and stay up to date with industry trends and techniques related to the RTW/Wovens category and garment construction
• Participate in fittings to evaluate fit and overall designs
• Support the RTW/Wovens Design team throughout all stages of the design process
• Assist with compiling seasonal design packets by creating CADs and helping with sketch updates
