About The Position

Samet seeks a Design Integration Manager who will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between design concepts, design completion and construction phase execution! This Manager may sit in either the Charlotte or Greensboro, NC Region. As the Design Integration Manager, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between design concepts, design completion and construction phase execution. This role requires a deep understanding of all phases of a project’s lifecycle including design, construction execution and closeout. The Design Integration Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, interior designers, engineers, landscape architects, specialty consultants, client representatives and construction professionals, to ensure seamless integration of design into the construction process. This collaboration and management will span from and through five succinct phases: (1) Proposal/Pre-Award, (2) Post-award, (3) Early Design, (4) Detailed Design and (5) Construction with emphasis on operational excellence, innovation, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Have 8-10 years broad experience in the design and/or construction industry, including significant project responsibilities in design management, project management or field operations, with a sound understanding of both the design and construction process.
  • Understanding knowledge of virtual design and construction technologies, including BIM software, clash detection tools, visualization tools, project collaboration platforms (e.g., AutoDesk Suite including Revit, Navisworks, BIM360, 3ds Max; Revizto; SketchUp).
  • Proven experience in design coordination within the commercial design and construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Experience with the various construction project delivery methods (Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, Construction Manager at Risk, Integrated Project Delivery), and the implementation of the design process for each delivery method.
  • Experience in developing and managing CPM schedules.
  • Proven track record of successfully building and managing teams, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Must have valid driver's license
