About The Position

The position is focused on ensuring that Light Truck (LT) 4x4 product designs meet consumer expectations, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing needs. The role requires a global expert on product design and manufacturability for LT4x4 products. Responsibilities include initiating and leading projects to create or update processes and tools to ensure manufacturability, collecting segment requirements globally, benchmarking competitors, analyzing competitor solutions, and leading activities to develop and validate concepts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in the automotive or tire industry.
  • Experience in R&D, product development, and manufacturing for LT4x4 products.
  • 18+ months of people or project leadership experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
  • Experience working in international teams for at least 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Light Truck (LT) 4x4 product designs consider consumer expectations, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing needs.
  • Act as a global expert on product design and manufacturability for LT4x4 products.
  • Initiate and lead projects to create or update processes and tools for manufacturability, including Design For Manufacturing (DFM) guidelines.
  • Serve as a core member of the LT Competence Center.
  • Collect segment requirements globally for long-term requirements and trends.
  • Initiate benchmarking of relevant competitors in alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Analyze competitor solutions for performance and producibility.
  • Collect feedback from platform, technology, and compound owners to identify segment gaps.
  • Review team member contributions in LT4x4 development projects globally.
  • Lead and coordinate activities to develop and validate concepts.
  • Initiate technology projects to ensure market competitiveness in performance and manufacturability.
