About The Position

This is a summer internship based in Richland, WA. Interns must hire and onboard no later than June 22, 2026. This position supports Design Engineering & Analysis for a commercial nuclear power plant. Typical assignments include developing component equivalency evaluations, engineering calculations, drawing reviews and updates, report preparation, and database management. Opportunities include learning about formal design change development, calculation methodologies, drawings development standards and various regulatory compliance programs. GENERAL SUMMARY Provide technical support for the designated organization based on assigned projects. Assigned projects will be in the area of technical practices in support of the department. This position will be directly accountable to assigned department staff and will support assigned project related activities and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Requires current part to full time enrollment status, or a recent graduate, in a bachelor’s or higher degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • Area of study must be in a technical field related to the assigned role.
  • Target hire is a student at a Junior or Senior status at the time the internship commences. Students earlier in their college experience will be considered, along with recent graduates (within six months of graduation).
  • Must maintain a minimum 2.8 cumulative G.P.A. unless approved by Human Resources.
  • A High School diploma/GED is required.
