The position involves new product development in the automotive sector, focusing on design conceptualization and execution. The candidate will be responsible for creating concept models using Creo, with a strong emphasis on surfacing and detailing. The role requires hands-on experience in designing sheet metals and plastic parts, as well as practical knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing drawings. The candidate should be able to work independently on design conceptual jobs and have a solid understanding of the phases of the design and development process for automotive components, including drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing, prototyping, ECN, PPAP, and documenting results. Knowledge of automotive product design, sheet metal press tools, fixture and gauge design, reverse engineering, Stack-Up, and VAVE will be considered an added advantage.
