About The Position

Dynacast, LLC, a Form Technologies Company, is currently looking for a Design Engineer on 1st shift. Come join a global leader in precision die-casting; be part of a team producing exceptional metal components for a diverse range of industries by designing die casting molds and assisting the Engineering Department with technical support . This position plays a high impact role within our manufacturing team, with key responsibilities directly supporting the strategic growth plan for Dynacast. Pay: Starting at $85,000/yr. and up, Based on experience

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college/university in engineering or related technical field; or minimum of three years of related tool design experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have knowledge and experience with a PC and related software programs especially CAD systems.
Experience with engineering changes and documentation processes.

Responsibilities

Performs varied drafting duties which include layout, design and/or detailing from verbal instructions, blueprints, sketches and customer requirements.
Determines and applies by calculation and computation necessary clearances, tolerances, and dimensions pertinent to the design and production of company products.
Reviews drawings made by others as to conformity of design and the correctness of clearances, tolerances and dimensions.
Utilizes CAD/CAM system to create designs.
Acts as a project leader on tool designs and is responsible for making sure that the design information given by a client is properly recorded and passed on to the appropriate department.
Responsible for ensuring that all quality procedures are followed during the design phase.
Responsible to assure all electronic information is properly stored and backups are made on a regular basis.
