As a Design Engineer in Nuclear Instrumentation in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the ICTNMU Business Line in the Instrumentation & Control Business Unit. Your work will include performing broad, complex engineering assignments under the framework of nuclear safety and quality codes, providing advanced technical support related to planning, designing, and analyzing encore detectors and other nuclear instrumentation components, focusing on design to manufacturing techniques to ensure product designs are optimized for fabrication, utilizing and capturing lessons learned and implementing design improvements, providing engineering advice and displaying technical competence requiring minimal direction from higher level engineering staff, and communicating technical concepts clearly to internal customers and can communicate technical analysis to external customers.
