About The Position

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking an innovative Natural Gas Engineer to support our Gas Programs team. This role combines field and office-based work and offers increasing technical and leadership responsibility based on experience. As a Design Engineer, you will apply your technical expertise to develop accurate, specification‑compliant designs while supporting project goals related to scope, cost, schedule, and quality. You will collaborate with gas utility operators and local agencies to deliver public improvement design packages from concept through execution. In this role, you will contribute to both standalone designs and portions of larger projects by performing engineering calculations, producing design drawings, and leading design efforts on straightforward assignments. You will also support more complex projects under the guidance of senior engineers. The position involves regular interaction with clients and agencies, adherence to applicable industry codes and standards, and professional, timely communication. You will take ownership of your work by performing self‑checks, participating in peer and quality control reviews, and ensuring clear, accurate information is communicated to clients and stakeholders through project leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Must have valid driver's license without restrictions for occasional project visits.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, work independently, coordinate tasks effectively, and take ownership of responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of natural gas design and engineering experience, preferably with engineering consulting, utilities, construction background.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification
