About The Position

Primary responsibilities include developing of new and existing products, assisting in selecting suppliers for new and existing materials against quality standards, assisting in establishing specifications and tolerances for production, purchasing, and receiving, and completing necessary drafting of products to ensure effective communication. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering discipline or equivalent, and/or qualified years of experience.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.).
  • Advanced Microsoft Word skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook skills.
  • Intermediate 2D (AutoCAD) and/or 3D CAD (PTC Creo, Solidworks) experience preferred.
  • Advanced Math Skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and analyze products and systems.
  • Document and maintain findings of product testing against established criteria.
  • Prepare estimates of development and product costs and develop bill of materials for new and existing products.
  • Manage engineering changes.
  • Assist in supplier site inspections to investigate abilities of key suppliers to meet quality requirements, specifications, and delivery dates.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance procedures.
  • Work closely with manufacturing engineers to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Handle sales and technical field calls, troubleshooting, warranties, and servicing.
  • Lead the implementation of FMEA's.
  • Lead projects.
  • Assist in finding and assessing new product opportunities.
  • Mentor new employees.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a collaborative manner.
