About the position
The position involves reviewing product concepts and application requirements to design and develop new custom product iterations or improve existing designs. This is achieved by employing sound engineering principles, advanced CAD software, and innovative methodologies. The individual will be independently responsible for design and outputs to manufacturing for standard product configurations. Responsibilities include creating models and drawings of custom products using CAD software, as well as detailed engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and technical documentation required for prototyping, manufacturing, and testing. The role also requires using product design and application knowledge to contribute as a member of the Engineering team to facilitate the implementation of innovative engineering solutions and supporting engineering and operations teams with reverse engineered solutions designed to company standards.
Responsibilities
- Review product concepts and application requirements to design and develop new custom product iterations or improve existing designs.
- Be independently responsible for design and outputs to manufacturing for standard product configurations.
- Create models and drawings of custom products using CAD software.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and technical documentation required for prototyping, manufacturing, and testing.
- Use product design and application knowledge to provide contributions as a member of the Engineering team to facilitate implementation of innovative engineering solutions.
- Support engineering and operations teams with reverse engineered solutions designed to company standards.
- Work safely and courteously, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, R&D, QA, Operations) to ensure designs align with customer and production requirements, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Generate detailed engineering drawings, specifications, BOM, and technical documentation necessary for prototyping, manufacturing, and testing phases.
- Perform analysis to validate design concepts, identify potential issues, and optimize designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing teams during production, troubleshooting design-related issues, and implementing necessary corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
- Proven record of stable work history and exemplary attendance.
- Proven engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other relevant engineering tools.
- Proficiency with ERP system functions required for Engineering processes.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with engineering software and systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software to maintain accurate records.
