About The Position

We are a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor with a reputation for combining high-quality consulting services with customized energy solutions. Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, as well as engineering applications and automated control systems. The Design Engineer I will perform a variety of tasks assigned by Senior Engineers and assist Project Managers and/or Design Engineers by participating in job site surveys and gathering information. Support Senior Engineers during audits and surveys as needed. Record identifying equipment function, tags, location, capacities, photos, etc. Trace piping and ductwork onto field. Convert field surveys into usable formats for plan and project development. Assist in planning to size, replace, and retrofit new equipment to replace aged or obsolete equipment. Use AutoCAD to develop plans. Other duties may include; copying/printing/scanning, assembly of equipment submittal packages, assistance in preparing work scope and other tasks. Participate in the company's project improvement process by refining standard design practices, calculation spreadsheet templates, updating and establishing standard procedures and practices, and collecting supporting documentation for various projects to be used as references for future.

Requirements

  • Recently graduated engineer in Mechanical or Energy Engineering with less than two years of experience.
  • In the process of obtaining EIT/FE.
  • Developing proficiency of AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and other related software.
  • Computer savvy, willing and able to understand and learn new software.
  • Increasing proficiency with energy simulation software.
  • Increasing awareness of energy management concepts.
