This Engineering role can be filled at Entry-level, Mid-level or Senior Engineer level. The primary purpose of this position is to perform advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations while acting as a resource and technical expert to engineers. Responsibilities include providing in-depth technical expertise, managing engineering analysis, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) for Entry Level.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience for Mid-level.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience for Senior level.
  • Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience making large scale changes and modifications, and evaluations of modifications.
  • Strong Structural Engineering experience.
  • Comfortable leading projects, including multidiscipline projects.
  • Professional Engineer Registration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
  • Provide technical expertise and consultation as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
  • Fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations.
  • Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
  • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
  • Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
  • Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management, including emergency response and support of outage activities.
