About The Position

The Colt Group (Colt) is a national provider of on-line industrial leak repair solutions, offering design, engineering, manufacturing, and installation to clients operating highly utilized, mission-critical industrial process plants. The Colt Group was founded in 1981 and is headquartered in La Porte, TX.

Job Overview:

This role consists of designing enclosures, putting together calculation packages, and ordering materials for fabrication as well as some data entry on NetSuite.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering is a must
• Preferably Mechanical engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• 0 – 2 Years experience
• Knowledge of CAD software
• Preferably SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of mechanics of solids and fluids
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Ability to work in a team without issues
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Ability to work at a fast pace with high levels of stress and few errors
• Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test and background check in compliance with our safety program

Nice To Haves

• EIT is preferable

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze leak repair enclosures
• Compile design information in a detailed calculation package including fabrication drawings and details for all key stresses
• Order materials for fabrication
• Log hours on NetSuite
