About The Position

The Design Drafter is responsible for planning and designing a variety of products using CAD equipment. This role works closely with the engineers in the organization.

Prioritize and complete a variety of tasks in a timely manner
Ability to interpret engineer drawings and terminology
Understanding of mathematical calculations
Knowledge of drafting and design work
Understanding of CAD equipment
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, AutoCAD and Creo
2 + years of College in Engineering and/or Mechanical Design/Drafting
0-2 years of CAD Design or related experience

Responsibilities

Responsible for the design of a variety of products including the layout, assembly, and detailed drawings of complete products
Evaluates finished work for accuracy, complete projection of views and cost-effective tolerances
Prepares a variety of detailed drawings per standard drafting practice
Responsible for reviewing engineer change notices
Maintains CAD materials and supplies for CAD operations
Promotes a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe conditions or practice to your supervisor
Performs other related duties as directed
