About The Position

We are seeking a SolidWorks Designer to help create our system drawings and designs. We are seeking someone that enjoys working with large mechanical assemblies and has an eagerness to learn more about large mechanical systems. These designs will range from small vacuum pump systems to large, containerized site remediation systems. Our systems are designed for use in hospitals, laboratories, and a variety of industrial sites. You are expected to be familiar with equipment, assembly, and layout drawings.

Requirements

• Ability to proficiently operate SolidWorks software
• Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking directions from Project Managers and Engineers
• Work with our manufacturing team to update drawings to reflect as-builts
• Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe
• Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions

Responsibilities

• Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
• Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing
• Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists
• Estimate costs and weights for designs
• Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers
• Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations
• Developing and maintaining product library of components and assemblies
