About The Position

The Design Director, Sr., upholds the highest creative standards while focusing on delivering innovative and impactful design solutions for clients. This role requires advanced creative expertise, conceptual leadership, and strategic design knowledge to ensure alignment with client objectives.

Requirements

  • Expertise: Possesses expert‑level knowledge and advanced skills to solve business and creative problems of significant complexity and scope.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in design, art, advertising, or a related field (e.g., BFA in Design).
  • Experience: 10–15 years of experience in an agency or design‑focused environment, demonstrating advanced creative expertise and design leadership.
  • Portfolio: Comprehensive portfolio showcasing concept development through execution across print, branding, digital, and presentation‑based deliverables.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and expert‑level PowerPoint skills, including creation of executive‑ready presentations, complex layouts, visual storytelling, and template systems; familiarity with interactive design and video tools is a plus.
  • Design Expertise: Strong foundation in typography, composition, color theory, and core design principles, with experience across multiple disciplines such as branding, packaging, interactive experiences, promotions, and sales enablement materials.
  • Communication & Presentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present creative concepts clearly, persuasively, and confidently to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Highly collaborative, with a proven ability to build strong relationships across cross‑functional teams, leadership, and external partners.
  • Strategic Problem‑Solving: Strategic thinker who can translate business and client objectives into effective, well‑aligned creative solutions.
  • Industry Awareness: Actively stays current on design trends, emerging technologies, and cultural shifts to inform creative direction and strategy.
  • Project & Time Management: Highly organized and self‑directed, capable of managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Client Engagement: Demonstrated success presenting work, receiving feedback, and iterating creatively to meet client goals and expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Create original, strategically aligned, and innovative design solutions (in multi-media) .
  • Serve as a key contributor in strategic discussions, helping to shape creative direction for client projects.
  • Interpret and implement brand guidelines of executions.
  • Stay informed on design trends, tools, and techniques.
  • Partner with Creative Director and Creative Project Managers to ensure clients’ goals and expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with internal team members, including copywriter, print production, event managers and event technology specialists.
  • Present creative concepts and deliverables to both internal collaborators and external clients.
  • Work with external vendors and attend press checks when possible, ensuring design alignment and production quality.
  • Review printer proofs and web beta/test sites for consistency with approved designs.
