The Design Content Visionary Manager (Technical Education Manager) at GAF Commercial is responsible for curating technical education content for the design community, enhancing storytelling through various mediums, and collaborating with the Building & Roofing Science Team to promote technical literacy and support sales efforts. This remote position emphasizes thought leadership and innovative engagement with architects and specifiers, aiming to build trust and become a go-to resource in the industry.

  • Develop new content to enhance storytelling through visual and written content development.
  • Present content through various mediums including national webinars and regional tradeshows.
  • Assist with content development and/or strategy for industry events like AIA and Greenbuild.
  • Update and improve existing content to enhance engagement using interactive learning approaches.
  • Revive past research efforts and enhance storytelling through content development.
  • Enhance communication of educational content through campaign management and social media development.
  • Participate in larger commercial initiatives as requested.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Graphic Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree.
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • 7+ years of graphic design, architectural design, or building enclosure experience.
  • Content Creation & Development Skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in Google Business Suites or Microsoft Business Suite.
  • Technical and professional knowledge of the roofing industry.
  • Industry certifications such as AIA, CDT, LEED AP, PE, RRO, RRC are highly preferred.
  • Experience with SalesForce is preferred.
  • Strong Public Speaking and Content Development skills.
  • Knowledge of roof systems and their interaction with the building enclosure.
  • Working knowledge of building science.
  • Instructional Design, Sketch-up / CAD abilities.
  • Graphic design skills and video editing skills are a plus.
  • Social media management is a bonus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
