About The Position

The successful candidate will assist franchisee groups and all third-party resources to ensure stores are completed on time and to specifications during the store development process. This position will provide support from the pre-approval stage through new store opening and beyond. Key responsibilities include managing project schedules, coordinating with external consultants, overseeing construction and permitting phases, and collaborating with others to improve processes.

  • Ability to build and maintain franchise and third-party relationships while holding others accountable for timelines.
  • Technical Experience: Microsoft Office, Adobe, Salesforce, Smartsheet, Procore
  • Industry Experience: 5 years minimum in construction related field/ 2 years minimum in Project Manager or equal role
  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Creative problem-solving: A strong ability to be creative and look at the "bigger picture" to solve project challenges is a desired skill for roles within the design team.
  • Timeline management: Ability to develop and manage project budgets and schedules effectively is essential.
  • Communication and collaboration: Strong communication skills are needed to work with internal departments and external professionals.
  • Slim Chickens systems principles and objectives: Gains a thorough understanding of Slim Chickens' established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies, safety) and recognizes the responsibility to stay updated on these systems and the role this position plays in supporting them.
  • Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives: This position description is designed to guide the activities of the Design & Construction Project Manager. It is not meant to restrict the individual's creativity or limit their thinking, nor does it encompass all the tasks that may be required in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Development projects or initiatives including Project Planning, new prototype design, etc.
  • Provide information related to Design to internal team members and franchise groups as requested.
  • Oversee third-party resources and provide support or information as requested.
  • Manage all internal and external approvals as required in the Slim Chickens Development Process.
  • Create and manage pre-construction through permitting project plan for new stores.
  • Participate in CDC coordination calls as needed during the Construction phase.
  • Act as a resource for new store information for franchisees, internal stakeholders and third-party resources such as general contractors.
  • Provide information related to Construction to internal team members and franchise groups as requested.
  • Input tracking data for all critical dates and project milestones in the Procore system software platform.
  • Input repair information for corporate stores to determine replace vs. repair requirements.
  • Update the Area Director Repair Checklist as work is completed.
  • Assist with any other Design, Construction, and Facilities tracking related tasks as needed.
