About The Position

Broome + Greene is a retailer of quality modern furniture, lighting & decor for town & country homes.

We are looking for Design Associates (Full & Part Time) to join our Staten Island, Empire Outlets store, opening Spring 2019.

The Design Associate is responsible for working with prospective & existing clients; providing design services including floor layouts, material swatches and color recommendations, alongside merchandise selection - furniture, lighting & decor.

Requirements

• Highly organized, with an ability to plan priorities and adapt as requirements change
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• An inquisitive & curious mind that is always seeking how something can be done better
• Experience with using Microsoft apps such as Outlook 365, Word, Excel & PowerPoint essential
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design

Responsibilities

• Promptly greet, and assist (where required) walk-in guests
• Provide design guidance, including floor layouts, swatch samples and color recommendations
• Capture guest information and enter into our CRM and diligently follow-up
• Produce quotes for guest review and convert to sales orders as needed
• Coordinate with Concierge team to schedule delivery of merchandise sold from warehouse inventory
• Meet and exceed sales goals
