About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and experienced Design Assistant to join our interior design team, supporting high-end residential projects from concept through installation. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on AutoCAD expertise in residential interior design and construction. You will work closely with our Design Associates and Principal Designer to keep projects running smoothly and ensure our resource library and materials are current. Requirements

  • 3+ years of AutoCAD experience specifically in residential interior design and construction (high-end residential preferred)
  • Hands-on experience creating construction documents for interiors (not just architectural drawings)
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program preferred
  • Proficiency with Apple software (Keynote, Pages, Numbers) and Google Workspace
  • Strong project organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Attention to detail and pride in accurate work
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to sit at desk and work on a computer for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits, vendor meetings, and installations

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support design team with day-to-day project needs for luxury residential interiors
  • Assist Design Associates and Principal Designer with project execution, including AutoCAD drafting
  • Prepare construction documents: AutoCAD drawings, spec sheets, and presentation files
  • Contribute to furniture, fabric, and accessory selections
  • Communicate clearly and proactively about project updates
  • Maintain organized Resource Room and Project Resource Packages with current materials
  • Support team culture and company growth initiatives
