The Design and Lab Operations Senior Engineer is a student-facing technical engineering position. As an integral part of Design Center Colorado in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME), this position oversees various ME spaces within the Idea Forge facility, teaches the competition section of the ME Senior Design course, co-teaches and supports hands-on labs for the ME, provides support to the Biomedical Engineering (BME) Capstone class, provides curated design consultations and technical expertise to students in general. The position provides engineering instruction and creates customizable solutions for course and student needs. The position works closely with students, facilitating workforce development by educating creative and practical engineers through hands-on learning and experiential education, with an emphasis on teaching core fundamentals that students can use throughout their lifetimes as engineers as they address real-world problems.
