About The Position

The position involves applying GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. The candidate will demonstrate and promote the company vision while showcasing strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaboration. Responsibilities include proactive planning and multitasking to maximize productivity, meeting quality and productivity metrics, and maintaining regular attendance and punctuality. The role requires a technical understanding of building construction and engineering, with demonstrated experience in managing the full-project life cycle from bidding through completion. The candidate will diagnose problems, propose solutions, manage staff and outside contractors, and read, understand, and execute construction specifications and plans. Additionally, the role involves managing construction budgets, multiple projects concurrently, and effective communication with internal and external contacts. The candidate will conduct all activities safely and efficiently, assist in managing subcontractors, review construction drawings for accuracy, represent the owner in project meetings, review pay applications, and participate in continuing education. Other duties include assisting in designing new or renovated building spaces, participating in Real Estate due diligence, managing purchasing of equipment or fixtures, and supporting senior project management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical degree in a trade discipline like engineering, fabrication, sheet metal design, etc. is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of previous construction experience required
  • Experience with building design, previous laboratory work experience
  • Experience using Procore Construction Management platform preferred
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

  • Assist lead PM with activity schedule preparation
  • Manage single- and multi-prime contractor projects with support from more experienced PM/leadership
  • Assist with preparation of bid documents
  • Assist with review of bids
  • Prepare site communications to impacted entities / people
  • Communicates effectively with client staff members
  • Performs other duties as assigned
