About The Position

The Derrickman is responsible for safely and efficiently assisting the Driller with the raising and lowering of the casing, drill pipe and collars, and maintaining the proper functioning of the mud and chemical mixing area, mud pump area, and the mud pit and shaker area. This is a full-time position with a salary of $25.50 per hour, involving a 'Swing' job shift and significant travel.

Requirements

• Operational and Safety knowledge
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Rig operations
• Previous operation and safety experience as a floorman
• Minimum of six (6) months of verifiable physical labor experience within the past two (2) years of employment. This experience should include performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing or walking for extended periods, and working in environments that require stamina, strength, and adherence to safety protocols. The role requires the ability to consistently meet physical job demands, follow safety guidelines, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced or physically intensive work setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist drillers in making pipe connection
• Climb derrick to trip pipe and perform maintenance and inspections
• Supervise mixing off all drilling fluids
• Maintain and track inventory

• Mentor floor hands
